Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

Pursely is built to keep your financial information on your device. The salary, pension, spending, commitments and other figures you enter are never sent to us and never leave your phone (except, if you choose, to your own private iCloud). Pursely has no user account and we run no server that receives your financial data. The only information that leaves your device is the minimum needed to run a subscription through the App Store — described below.

The short version

Your salary, pension, spending and every other figure you enter are stored only on your device, under the operating system's own app data protection — we never receive them. The only data that leaves your device is the minimum needed to run your subscription (handled by Apple and our subscription provider, RevenueCat), and never your financial figures.

What we collect

We collect none of your financial information. Pursely has no account, doesn't ask you to sign in, and never sends the figures you enter to us or to any third party. The only data involved at all is what's needed to run a subscription, described under "Subscriptions" below.

At a glance

Data stored on your device

The profile you create (salary, pension contributions, salary-sacrifice items, tax region, student loan plan, commitments and similar) is saved locally on your device so the app can remember it between sessions. You can edit or delete it at any time within the app, and removing the app removes this data with it. If you turn on the app's private iCloud sync, your profile is mirrored through your own Apple iCloud (Apple's end-to-end-managed key-value storage) so it can restore on your other devices — we never see it. If you use your device's encrypted backup, that backup may include the app's local data; that backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

Analytics and tracking

Pursely contains no third-party advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no usage analytics that identify you. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Subscriptions

If you buy Pursely Premium, Apple processes the payment through the App Store under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see or store your name, card or payment details.

To unlock the right features for the right person, Pursely uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. When you open the paywall or make, restore or renew a purchase, the RevenueCat SDK generates a random, anonymous identifier for your installation and exchanges your App Store purchase receipt and subscription status with RevenueCat's servers on our behalf, under RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. RevenueCat does not receive any of your financial figures, your name or your email, and we cannot use this identifier to contact or personally identify you. The information we can see is limited to anonymous subscription status — for example whether a subscription is active, when it renews or expires, and whether a free trial is in use.

This website

The pursely.co.uk website is a static information site hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you email us, that email is delivered to our inbox via Cloudflare Email Routing.

Children

Pursely is intended for adults managing their own finances and is not directed at children.

Your rights

We hold no account and no financial data about you. The only personal data connected to you is the anonymous subscription record held by Apple and RevenueCat to run your purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account at any time. For data-protection requests relating to that subscription data, contact us at [email protected] and we will assist, including by liaising with Apple or RevenueCat as appropriate. Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct and erase personal data; because we hold no profile of you beyond the above, in most cases there will be nothing for us to act on. You remain in full control of the information stored on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
